rocketboy Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Taken from the Dirtrider.net website. "I've decided not to renew the lease at my workshop in Streamwood Illinois and will be closing for the summer and fall starting in the end of May. The last day that we will accept work is April 28th. I will revise the Garage Sale page and post it here on that day and besides all the normal reconditioned stock we will be liquidating customer abandonments, big bore cylinders, reconditioned ported 4-stroke heads, and equipment like boring bars, porting tools, Serdi-Light valve seat machine, gauging like micrometers and dial bore gauges, tool boxes, work-benches, Smithy Granite lathe/mill, and all of our Parts Unlimited showroom stock. I've also got some news for our European customers, I'll be teaming up with my old friend Mark Hammond of MH Racing located near Bath England, and working from his shop in the months of June and July. We'll offer 2-stroke porting and Wiseco big bore kits, 4-stroke porting and Serdi multi-angle valve jobs, Black Diamond and Xceledyne valve train rebuilds, and Hot Cams. Interested customers can email me in advance for appointments at [email protected] or call Mark Hammond in the UK at (01225) 811583 Watch for advertisements with details on specials and pricing in future issues of Dirt Bike Rider magazine. Motorbooks has contracted me to write a new series of books titled Performance Projects. The first book is on Yamaha YZF & WRF models and I'm a co-author with Ken Faught. The second book titled CRF Performance Projects will be available in July and I just finished the manuscript yesterday (1/28). The next two books will be the RMZ/KXF Performance Projects and The Big Book of Minis which should both be available in February 2007. So if you want to get any work done by our shop here in America it has to be here by April 28th, after that point we will be refusing UPS and FexEx deliveries." Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Ha Ha! An even better reason not to sell my Gorr woods ported stock cylinders! I'm glad I got some. Quote
Gargamel Posted February 9, 2006 Report Posted February 9, 2006 Makes since, America is killing the 2 stroke with laws. He's just moving to where people have freedom and still are riding 2 strokes - street and track. Quote
