milo_32000 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 How much compression does a stock Shee have ? Also What is the limit with 92 octane gas, really don`t want to buy race gas, if you know where I`m coming from ! Any help on this I would be greatful !!! While I`m asking why does Clymers say you need to mix your fuel at 20to 1 or 24 to 1, I have had 20 motocross bikes and I always used my premix at 32 to 1, which I`m doing now, works great ! Thanks, Milo Quote
Banshee 79 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 At sea level a new banshee should have 125-130 psi of compression. The limit is 160psi. with pump gas. 24:1 is way too much oil I also run mine at 32:1 and some run theirs with alot less oil than that. Quote
banshee tuner Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 I used to run 50:1 and now I run 40:1 cause I run it a little harder and want a little more oil just to be safe. Some run more and some run less but I think 40:1 is plenty. Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 I'm at 7500ft approx. and a stock bike will get like 90-100 psi on a good day. lol! We run 17 and 18cc domes just to get up around 150psi. Quote
