Quadracer18 Posted January 9, 2006 Report Posted January 9, 2006 Well, im racing MX this year. My banshee has 22 inch razrs with plugs in the side walls etc. they have decent tread left but theyre pretty beat. I want either 19's or 20's. Also i want them installed on a 3-2 offset rim instead of the 4-1 stock. Now my rear tires are rzr 20's that also have decent tread but a bunch of plugs. I want 18 inch rears. Now heres my problem. I can only afford either the fronts or the rears, not both. Id like to get the fronts with the 3-2 offset rims so i actually have some width in the front with my +2 a-arms i just bought instead of the 4-1 offset. Now is it okto run a smaller front tire or same size as the rear? please give me your opinions on which i should get, front or rear? thanks. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 20x11x9 kenda knarlys..i like them alot.. Quote
'shee Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I would go with the ITP Holeshot MXR4 Rears, I would go with the more expensive set first (the rear) and then follow up with the fronts later. Quote
ellison445 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I got a set of Fast trekkers 20/10/9 almost new! Quote
Quadracer18 Posted January 11, 2006 Author Report Posted January 11, 2006 well, i forgot i had a set of douglas .190 3-2 offsets with some fast trekkers in my garage, so i slapped them on and i must say, they are perfect for now for my frontend with my +2 a-arms, help the width a little but not too much. Im a turftamer kind of guy so im gonna go with a rear douglas .190 8 inch rim with a 18-9.5-8 tire. Would you guys recommend this size or the 18-11-8? thanks Quote
NYCBanshee7 Posted January 11, 2006 Report Posted January 11, 2006 I like my Razr MX all around on Douglas .190. They are very light, and hook up pretty good. Plus, alot cheaper than Holeshot MXR4 Quote
wooten Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 how much for the trekkers ellison Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted January 12, 2006 Report Posted January 12, 2006 For rears I've only tried the 20" original razr's and the 18" Kenda Klaws I have now. The razrs aren't even comparible to the Klaws. I haven't found anything wrong with these tires, yet. I've had buddies try Razr MX's and Holeshot MXR4s and they are all now happily running Kenda Klaws. The guy w/the Holeshots got about 8 track rides on 'em until the front of every lug was almost gone. He flipped 'em around and got about 3 more races out of them. So, he went and got some Klaws. He's more than happy with the way the ride. And they're cheap, too. The MXR4's hook 'em really well, but between the price and how fast they wear...they're not worth it to me. My next 18" tire will definately be the Kenda Klaws again unless something new comes out that's suppose to outperform them. Quote
