I had an electrical problem with the shee so checked everything on it,it was the coil and the stator.I replaced the stator with a Rickystator 200watt and so i thought the coil was bad and i took the wires off to see if the wires had continuity .I thought to my self lets put the coil back on to see if it was good,I did and the shee came back to life.So my question is what do you guy put on the wires to keep them from coming loose and coming out from inside the coil?

there's a little plastic clip that holds em in...my stock wires were too short anyway so i replaced em with some 7-8mm automotive spark plug wires..the stock centers are steela nd the auto ones were fiber..so they need to be electrical taped in very well to the coil, push em in as far as possible so the probe goes inside the wire, then tape away...thread on your plug caps and away you go

If you don't have the clip anymore, I would push them in as far as possibly, use some dielectic grease. then silcone them from the outside, let it dry good before you use it. now you won't have a problem with water and it still can be removed. :bolt:

First Banshee, you're saying that if i put silicone on the wires that the wires will not fall out of the coil?

yes, but let the silcone set up over night so it like gluing the wires in place. clean the area to be silconed well also.

damn i might redo my wires...good idea but i'd use shoe goo instead, i swear by that stuff, flexes like silicone but doesnt peel off like it, i highly recommend it for almost any repair, it's the new duct tape!!
