Wallrat Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Sounds like corrosion mixed with dirt. Use a scotch brite pad. Quote
23champ Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Use EagleOne wheel cleaner for rough cast aluminum wheels without clearcoat. This is the best product ever made hands down!!! Its the badest shit on earth. Make sure its for rough cast no clear coat tho..Its the only kind that works. It will clean any aluminum surface. Quote

I agree that stuff works great. Then what ever that don't take off use a wire brush cup on a drill to power scub it off. Quote
sheenut05mx Posted January 19, 2006 Report Posted January 19, 2006 Have the cases glass beaded LOOKS new againg. Quote
chris642 Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 after reading this thread i went and picked some of that eagle one. It worked great, took everything off, i still gotta get into those real tigh spots however. I must say, this cleaner has the worst smell i have ever experienced, i could only imagine the results of someone drinking some. before after Quote
Gargamel Posted January 20, 2006 Report Posted January 20, 2006 you might want to be careful those fumes are toxic Quote
trinityshee Posted January 21, 2006 Author Report Posted January 21, 2006 thats funny ~ my cases look just like the pics posted and that stuff worked it just turned the cases white kinda or spoted but they still lokk a lot better than mud Quote
dawarriorman Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 Sounds like that stuff is hydroflouric acid then. Which makes me think, go to your local boat store, and get some aluminum pontoon cleaner. That stuff will take anything off aluminum (its probably more concentrated than the eagle one stuff too). yamahammer_409 Posted January 22, 2006 Report Posted January 22, 2006 I just picked up the eagle one etching cleaner tonight. I am going to try it out for myself to see if it is as good as they say. My shee suffered a year or two of neglect before I got it. Starting fluid and alot of elbow grease has brought it along way. But that gets expensive. Any way thanks for the info Ryan J Quote
nosbanshee4u Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 You are very right warriorman, I use TOON BRITE for cleaning pontoon boats, I did it to my banshee cases. They are spotless, 20$ approx but man they will look factory like its sitting in the showroom, no spots or color gradients like with the eagle one, I would wear a facemask when applying the toonbrite, you can also put it on brake calipers to make them look new. etc etc. Quote
yamahammer_409 Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 The eagle one was good for me but where can you pick up some of that toonbrite Sounds like its good stuff. I would like to give it a try. I still have a whole bike to go. Quote
