Wallrat Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Hey all. I just repaired a crack on my frame just above the forward left motor mount - just above the reinforcing sleeve for the 2 bolt holes. Since then I've seen identical cracks on 2 other banshee frames! Its really hard to see unless u get your eyeball right on top of it. Here's a picture of the exact location (sorry but its on a modified frame): Quote
RIPPEN Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Ill have to check that out... Just today I almost got my bike tore all apart so this is right on time. Thanks for the heads up!!! RIPPEN Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I seem to be missing this part of my frame But when I put it back in I'll pay attention to it. This seems to be one of those things like that god damned steering stop. Quote
Wallrat Posted January 7, 2006 Author Report Posted January 7, 2006 If anyone does find a crack, post up your weight and whether u run nerfs or not. All the parties involved are big (200+) guys with nerf bars. Engine size doesn't seem to be a factor. I wanna narrow down the cause. Quote

JARE77 Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 Alot of people think that there nerfs are like big foot pegs. They are not meant to be used that way. You gotta keep your feet on the pegs when landig hard from jumps and shit or else you are putting tremendous amounts of stress on parts that were not designed for it! Quote
