DjLeOo Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 My friend has a Banshee his engine is 20over v-force 3 reeds CPI pipes stock carbs , stock needles ... what Jet should he use ??? Pilot Jet ?? i think he's running a 280 jet and it runs like shit .. takes forever to hit the power band bogs out !! let me know !! Thanks ! Quote
midnite Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) I don't know much about cpi pipes other than they are real good top end pipes, so I would think you would be closer to 380 than 280. Try 360 mains to start, then maybe try the 4th clip on the needles. You need bigger pilots too, try #30. I've never jetted a cpi bike so this is a guess. If you ride above 1500 ft, go a little smaller on everything. Edited January 6, 2006 by midnite Quote

Thats where I'd start...try different size pilots to see if that is what it needs, then try raising the needles one clip at a time. He can probably get some of that low end back....CPI pipes don't have much for low end though... Quote
korndawg Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I'd start out about 320, and work from there. Quote
eehsnab2 Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 I'd start out about 320, and work from there. 455875[/snapback] That's probably a good start with a 30 pilot, needle in stock postion. Other factors need to be accounted for too. How high are ya? What's the temp like? Quote
