slimeball Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Ok, I bought a banshee and it needed some work so I took it apart, rebuilt the carbs and lost a jetting needle. So, I have to get new ones. I have the needles that came with the rebuild kit but I am not sure if I can use them? My bike mas fmf pipes, and headers, vforce reeds and open airbox. The thing that I cant figure out from reading the other posts on jetting is 1) Do I need a particular type of jetting needle for my upgrades and location or is it just the setting of the stock needle that I am using? What should I do? What do I need to buy? Other than tons of other upgrades. i mean for my jetting application. Quote
wesw Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 i would call a place like sudco and get some needles dont know what ones would work good on stock carbs, you might ask them what a dynojet needle is roughly and get one like that. sudco.com Quote

Some on here say they don't like them, I run them personally and feel they offer me marginally better adjustment. I think they might be a little on the more expensive side (especially when you consider what you're getting), but probably no more than if you were to get some through the Yamaha dealer. There are probably dozens on here that would have extra, stock needles laying around. Quote
Shee-Male Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Stock needles work great, they are a 5N7, your local dealer or bike shop should have some...they've only been around for 20 yrs. I think I have a set of then acctually...If you need them PM me, you pay the shipping and they're all yours. Quote
