dawarriorman Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 Well I searched, and after a few pages with not much, figured Id post this up. What clip position do you have your needles on? Go ahead and say what pipes and your airbox setup too. Just wondering cuz with stock pipes, I had the stock needles on the 4th clip down with the airbox lid removed. Now with T5s it rides fine, but just seems kind of weird that I would change the main and pilots, and the needle wouldn't need it. Quote
MILO Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 pro circuits - pro design pro flow (foam) w/ no lid - stock needles, 3rd clip - 360 mains - stock pilots - air screws i believe at 2 turns out but i think it's all relative to elevation, temp, and so on. just set it up at whatever your quad is happy with, and runs smooth at. 23champ Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I used to run FMF fattys , dyno jet needles, 280 mains, air box lid removed, with K&N Quote
banshee tuner Posted December 28, 2005 Report Posted December 28, 2005 I run T5's, 300 mains, 30 pilots, needle clip on the 5th position, stock needles, k&n pods, I'm at sea level. Quote
2003LimitedBanshee Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 IN my sig also but... T5's, Toomey 2:1 with UNI element, 27.5 pilot, 4th clip from blunt on Dynojet needle (6 total positions) and 340 mains. Jetting setup for Oregon dunes (sea level) approx 65 degrees. The stock needles are slightly more blunt with less taper than the Dynojet needles, therefore you will be flowing more fuel at the same midrange rpm, now that you have the larger mains installed. This will in effect richen the midrange even without a clip adjustment. Quote
Banchetta Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 I've found that most shees w/ pipes will like the 4th clip the best w/ aftermarket reeds, and sometimes the 5th clip..It really depends on which pipe your running..fmf pipes really respond to the 4th and 5th clip really well. It also depends on what size pilot your running. A richer pilot will make the needle circuit rich as well.... Quote
