I 'm getting some Front shocks pretty soon and was wondering if anyone has used these before. Are they better than works. ok dumb question..but honestly, how are they? Do they come with rezzies or not? I don't do a whole bunch of jumping so that why I'm asking about these. Also How about TCS shocks? I've heard the valving is better than their competitors. As far as price can you get a decent setup for about $400 from either company. One more thing.... I plan on getting an extended +2+1 A-arm setup in the future. would either of these shocks work with that. Thanks.

Yes they should be better than works. Aftermarket suspension does a MUCH better job of soaking up the bumps, and keeping the quad straight than the stockers do. Stuff that would make you say oh shit, and brace yourself with stockers, aftermarket shocks will soak up like its nothing. I would get the TCS over the Elka, but the TCS are going to be more money. They raised their prices not too long ago, so I doubt you'll find a set without rezzies for anything less than $600. Rezzies are nice, help keep the shock performing better when they heat up. Id say a great deal of people don't need them, but its always nice to have, especially since it gives you adjustable compression. Go out on a typical ride, and periodically feel the shocks. Are they hot? Warm? If they are hot, you probably would want rezzies. If they aren't that warm, it wouldn't make as much difference. If you can swing it, get them. And yes the shocks will work with extended a-arms, you just have to get the revalved, and probably resprung.

Get ahold of Andy at Sanddragon... he sells Elka and can tell you all about them... I have and love my Elka's. They will be set up for you and your riding style so it's best to just call a dealer to see what will work for you and what they'll cost you.
