Travis's Banshee
Guys: I'l start by saying I searched and read what I could find on this conversion. My question is. I really don't want to grind the upper shock mounts on my PC'd frame. Has anyone ground a little material off the top of the shock body to get the necessary clearance? Thanks

JARE77
Dont be afraid to grind the frame a bit. It is perfectly fine and you will hardly notice if done properly.

Thanks 450564[/snapback] I didn't grind anything at all from my upper frame/shock mount. I ground off slightly on the top of the shocks.. and works perfect. I did grind the lip off the rear of the mount on the a-arm (bottom). But aftermarket ones don't even have that lip, so that doesn't affect anything. I MX and am consistently jumping and beating on them and I've got nothing but good things to say about the setup.

How much did you take off the shock? Thanks
guttedEF
minimal..i basically made the tops flat instead of rounded. I was real scared to go too deep. It's really much easier than I anticipated. If you just sit down and start doing it, you'll figure it out. Just take off a little then keep going as needed.
