yfzut Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 im trying to put together a quad mostly for the sand and i have toomeys t-5,s now but im going to do a cub cylinder with a 7mm crank and was wondering if i would gain much by swapping out the t-5,s for some in-frame bigbore cpi,s. Quote
rocketboy Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 (edited) if i had a 7mm cub i would nt pick either pipe ,id swap it out for shearer big bore out of frames and run dual 38mm a.s. keihins for ignorant power Edited December 18, 2005 by rocketboy Quote
Banshee~ Posted December 18, 2005 Report Posted December 18, 2005 I would get a twister crank. Some people that run weisco's cranks have had a problem with them seperating on anything over +4. Either BB CPI or BB Shearer on your pipe selection. Quote
odaen Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 I didn't know hotrods made a crank over 4mm.... Quote
reded Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 I didn't know hotrods made a crank over 4mm.... Me either... Quote
FASTOYS Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 When in doubt, always ask your engine builder/or who your getting your Cubs through or whatever. The CPIs or Shearers will make ALOT more power than the T5s !! Quote
Hilarious Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 (edited) What is a set of small bore, inframe shearers goin for now, Jeff? Edited December 20, 2005 by Hilarious Quote

Ultimateduner Posted December 21, 2005 Report Posted December 21, 2005 Toomey and CPI aren't even on the same level. I'd recommend CPis, I got them they run great in the dunes, I bought Cpis over shear because I saw a dyno sheet that listed both and had Cpi as more horsepower than shear. Quote
