Ok, well I was cleaning the shee last night, and I use the Novus plastic polish on it every once in a while (kind of like wax for your plastics). And I was just letting my thoughts wander while I was cleaning when I suddenly thought, why should I spend 30 bucks on those disk doctor things, when I have a plastic polish right here. CDs are plastic, so why wouldn't it work? I took a few out there today, and damn if it didn't fix them all. All it took was a cotton rag, about 3 minutes per cd, and they play like new.

I don't use the Novus, cause all it is is car wax in a small bottle with a different name and a high price. Honestly though I use meguiar's step 2 polish and a 4" cotton wheel on the die grinder and go slowly from inside to outside with the wheel. Just basicly polishing the surface. If it's heavy scratches then I'll use a fine cut cleaner first then the polish. Works almost every time and when you have kids playing these 50 dollar ps2 games, you gotta find a way to repair them.

Wouldn't doubt it. Surprisingly though, its one of the few things that the local motorcycle store has thats not overpriced. I do have some Meguiars Gold class though, I'll try that tomorrow see if it works any better. Now I didn't even use a wheel, I just did it by hand, but they were light scratches.

Heres a link to their site, I use No 2: http://www.noscratch.com/novus/
