2001Sheesmine Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 Does anyone know how to adjust the tors so that my bike will idle. Is there a certain amount of turns on the screws that i am supposed to make? I dont know about that tors removal and idle kit stuff because the whole drilling and tapping the carbs would piss me off if I messed up. Quote
iceman Posted November 19, 2005 Report Posted November 19, 2005 turn the screw on the outside of the carb... Quote

MonoxideChild420 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 that screw on top of your t.o.r.s. is the slide height adjustment. it raises and lowers your slides(black tubes w/crescent outlet on back). whcih are connected the your throttle cable.. you have a little clear window on the side of your carbs. when you push the throttle you can see your slides moving up and down inside your carbs if you look thru the window. there is a silver piece that will appear in the window when your nobs are set right i think the silver thing shoud be visible at 0 throttle but then again im not shure . it might be 1/4 or 1/2 throttle just make shure you adjust them both the same once you get them equall, make sure they raise and lower at exactly the same time.... youll have to take oof your air box.. Banshee~ Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 turn the screw on the outside of the carb... 439009[/snapback] Those are the airscrews that you are talking about. The idle adjusters are ontop of the tors box. Take the seat off and turn them 1/2 a turn at a time and wait 15-20 seconds for the settings to take place. Once you get it to idle good you have to make sure both of those screws are turned out the same on both carbs. When you have them lined up good (just by looking at them), turn off the gas, push the throttle all the way and then let go of it. You should hear both of the slides hit at the same time. Quote
