lean over the tank and take first two fingers and hold the front brake bring the rpms up and start to slip the clutch till you can feel the bike wanting to move. When the flag or arm drops let go of everthing and pin it wide open and hold on. Just takes a little practice.

Thanks for all the tips :notworthy: They were extremely helpful and after a few practice tries I was able to nail the start. One, my tire preassure was way too high, damn near 10 lbs. Dropped down to 5 pounds and those razors hooked up nicely. When I tried revving it real high it began to produce steam, after searching I noticed it was comming from the overflow tube. Is that normal? I still have the overflow bottle located in the rear. By the way...I smoke my buddy with the 450! Now I have braggin' rights till next time :headbang: Thanks for you help/suggestions

What is your compression? Maybe you need to run a higher octane, provided nothing is wrong with the bike and causeing it to over heat. A higher octane will help it to run cooler.

Just a thought, Traci.
