Hi Everyone,

I currently have t4s on my 96, and I just found the upgrade page on toomey where I can trade in my t4s for a new set of t5s for $275/$375, unfinished or chrome.

I plan on porting eventually (Eric Gorr woods port) and hear the t5s respond extremely well to porting.

Does anyone have experience with both pipes?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't have any experience with the T4's but I can tell you that T5's work extremely well with my Gorr port. From what I've heard T5's are the best Toomey pipe on a ported motor but would it be worth the money to switch? That's something somebody else will have to answer cause I don't know.

It depends on what kind of riding you do. I have had the T4's and T5's on my Shee. They both produced excellent power. The T5's I felt had a broader range of power. But the T5's didn't pull on the top end like T4's. I loved both pipes but since I am 6'3" and 275 the T5's had more useable power for me (more lower to mid range powerband). That is just what I have experienced, some of these other guys might have different experiences. If your going to use your bike for all kinds of riding I would get the T5's. If you are going to hill shoot or drag alot, the T4's would be better. That dyno doesn't show what I experienced personally but there are alot of variables.
