04BansheeLE Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 I was wondering if I did a DC Conversion w/ a stock stator if that it would have enough output to run 4 Trail Lights. Also I notice there are differant output wattage on them (lights) what would I be able to run (they go to 75 watts). I keep reading how the stock stator only has like 85 watts output, but I was unsure if it really mattered if I ran the conversion w/ battery. Thanks! Quote

Wallrat Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 No you can run a maximum of 75w TOTAL whether its AC or DC and have it covered by the stock stator. You could run more wattage on DC but then you're running off the battery. That's only going to allow you to run all 4 for maybe an hour - if that. Quote

But if you are using more than 75 W total, your lights will be draining the battery faster than the stator can charge it. You're going to have to upgrade the stator if you want more than that. sandman121383 Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 . . .christ , u guys can be tough sometimes. lol he could always let the bike run a few mins every now n then with the lights off. sure as hell wouldn't hurt matters much. best bet is to go with a high output stator. that way u won't torture ur battery and ur stator. have a cold one! midnite Posted October 31, 2005 Report Posted October 31, 2005 Why put a battery on a banshee at all? Get a 200 watt stator and forget about the battery. After you have the stator, and if you have to have 4 lights you could get the trail tech bar clamp lights and the stock location lights. A 200 watt stator and two 75 watt trail tech's would be plenty of light. Quote

Nothing like poping over a dune and killing your bike cause the other side drops off and having your lights go out... Or having to keepit reved up more than usual while putting around....
