StrokedShee Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 I was wondering how I can powder coat the arms that have ball joints, that are full of greese! Is there a toool that u can use to seperate ball joints and put new ones on ? any idea's ? Quote
midnite Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 The ball joint is welded in. When the ball joint is worn out you have to buy a new arm. Quote
Ruko Posted October 29, 2005 Report Posted October 29, 2005 A friend of mine tryed to get his stock a-arms powder coated but the powder coater guy said it would wreck the ball joints. The ball joint is not removable on stock a-arms so he ended up just painting them. Quote

Superman Posted October 30, 2005 Report Posted October 30, 2005 I have sucessfully powder coated Yamaha a arms without harming the teflon bushing inside the ball joint, I use a heat paste to absorb the heat and it works great. Let me know if I can help. Quote
