Yea should work great. Use a plastic prep cleaner first and I would lightly sand it with 600-800 grit then shoot.

Ive never used the fusion paint but ive heard that it sucks.. I just sanded mine down a little with 1000 grit and painted it with a few coats and put automotive clear coat on it and it looks like it came like that from the factory... I painted mine reflex blue (Yamaha Blue)

Krylon fusion works great, won't chip or peel at all. The only problem with it, is that is not chemical resistant. Gas, brake and carb cleaners and so on will dissolve the paint. The main place to use it is on plastics that flex, because it won't peel. Something stiff and rigid like the stator cover, you could just use normal spray paint more than likely, and you'll be fine.

I did the frame in green powder coat with a silver flake in it. The plastics were done with the krylon silver. Also did the stator cover Ill get some pics up a little later. Didnt get any pics this weekend at the desert. First ride... my girl broke her arm and spent the rest of the trip in the hospital! :shrugani:

I painted my clutch cover and water pump cover with blue fusion, I have had it on for like 10 rides and theres no chips or anything in it and i did it with one can. This shit is good

Just for my 2 cents...

I have had very good luck with krylon fusion.

I have painted every thing from my truck interior, mining hat, a couple of pieces on my former z400. And looking to paint some on my banshee

Let us know how it works

All I did was just scuff it all up good and used brake clean (to get any oil or anything off) . Probably not the best prep job but the paint I used was wrinkle paint and it usually seems to hold up ok... Somethin a little different.
