macgillivary Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 bad throttle cable? or if you have stock carbs with stock tors possibly the rubber piece where the tors goes in is worn and water is getting in their making the slides stick? i have never had to fix that though so im unsure of a fix on that rubber piece Quote
BigRed350x Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 I had the same problem all winter long two years ago. Snow would fly up around the carbs and melt from the heat of the engine, then water would get on the carbs and freeze. I never found a way to stop it besides just shutting of off and flicking the throttle. That was the only year I had a problem with it. Haven't had anything like that happen since that one winter. Strange. Sorry, I got no fix for ya man. You could spray some contact cleaner around your carbs to keep the water off them. Dunno if that would work or not. Quote
blackandyellowshee Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 My friend has his TORS removed and the throttle sticks when he gets it wet too. Its quite dangerous, but very funny to watch He got a carb rebuild kit from moose and it didn't help at all. I'm thinking maybe the rubber thing like the guy before said. I don't think he got a new one of those when he got the carbs rebuilt. Sorry I don't have a fix either Just thought I'd let you know your not alone. Quote
