'shee Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 I read in all these articles in dirtwheels etc. about how banshees are soo hard to ride. the thing i dont get is i dont ever ride the clutch. I just let out the clucth and hang on, then shift and go right back into the powerband. Im still new with the banshee, so what do you experienced riders do to get the most speed out of the machine? biggun6ss Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 If you get a lot of HP into your banshee and have a stock swing arm, you have to feather the clutch sometimes or it will come over backwards on you. I jus have pipes and a filter, when I drag race I have to feather the clutch sometimes because the front end wants to come up. If you feather the clutch the front end comes back down. Takes a little practice to get it right, but when you do, you can really come out of the gate real fast. Quote
ozosborne Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 FEATHER THE CLUTCH? I'M GUESSING THAT'S LIKE DOUBLE CLUTCHING? IN OTHER WORDS CLUTCHING HALF WAY WITH THE THROTTLE OPEN? AT THIS STAGE I THINK I WOULD FALL ON MY ASS IF I DID THAT! Quote
dogboystoy Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Feathering the clutch is: squeezing it in a little, so that the trans can slip a little. Therefore getting less power to the rear wheels. Quote
