subypwr Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I have a 94 Banshee and i was riding it the other week when it just shut off like i hit the kill switch. I took it home put new plugs in it and i found out i didnt have spark. I clenaed all my connections and put a new coil on it and it will only spark 1 or 2 kicks of about 20. And sometimes i will get just a faint spark. i dont know what to look for next. can anyone help? Quote
[email protected] Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 if u have a buddy with a banshee swap out the cdi , im not 100 % sure but its defintly a electrical problem if ure not getting spark , maybe the cdi has had its better days . Quote
Dinner Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Or maybe the spark plug wires are done Quote
mud91 Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Mine did the same shit, got the ohm meter out and ecectrical check out fine..well almost, the flywheel had cut one of the wires from the stator(green) just enough for it to get a good reading. Spliced it back up and started right up...hope this helps Quote
'shee Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 I had a problem like that just barely. I checked all my hardware. (Stator, Coil, kill switch.) I figured it would be my CDI so I sent it to Dyntek to get it checked. While it was being inspected, i tore off my whole intake system to the cylinders. After I tore off my carbs I found 4 bare wires with no insulation on them whatsoever. We taped them back up got my CDI back (it checked to be ok) and it fired up second kick. I don't know if thats the problem, but I would check all your wired to see if any of them could have grounded out which would kill the enigne. Let us know what you find out. Quote
