roost boost

does this actually do anything or?? I was wandering cause if it does I would like to get one. It is a roost boost for the ignition I guess. WHAT DOES IT DO AND ANY HELP WOULD APPRECIATED

got one on my 87 LT250, really not sure what it does. came with the bike when i bought it

It is an ignition modification. I had one on my old Honda 250X. I guess it helped some but I don't recall it being one of those "WOW, I should have do this a long time ago" mods. I put it on after I did the pipe, carb work, air filter and a couple other things.

 

I'd probably spend my $ on something that really makes a difference. What's been done to your bike so far?

They used to sale them a long time ago. You see them every once and a while on E-bay. I think the manufacturer either went tits up or just quit making them. They were supposed to add an additional mile per hour on the top end. I wanna say they amplified the spark a little. They were just another gimmick that Dirt Wheels bragged on for the benift of the advertiser. My buddy put one on a blaster when they first came out. He would have been better off buying a box of spark plugs.

How hard is it to install new timing plate and adjust it right? Thinking about doing mine. I am still learning how to work on my shee so I don't want to modify it too much to where I will start having problems!
