Just bought a 99 banshee on Saturday. Sunday i went riding and had a bitchin time but had to stop twice because my thumb fell like it was gonna fall off. Is there a way to make the throttle less resistant? Or am i just a pussy that needs to do hand exercises?

That doesn't work. You will usually wind up having one of your arms bigger than the other.  :P

Man, I've been doin that for years now but my thumb still hurts when I ride. I need a twist throttle or I better get some practice. :yank::yank::yank::cheers::yank::yank::yank::yank::cheers: Still no good. *goes to buy a twist throttle system*

I juSt got a thumb throttle extender from Mod Quad, WAY easier to hold in now...Never had much of an issue before except for that first trip of the season...

Took about 10 minutes to install the only difficult was poping out the old busing to replace with the ball bearing...

Looks better too. well worth the $30

I prefer a thumb over a twist on a quad cause when you turn the bars to the left you naturally bend your wrist and increase throttle if you have a twist, with a thumb I think it gives you beter controll. On an Bike I would not use a thumb throttle though.

I agree when I bought my shee it had a twist and after riding it the first time that way it is sitting on the shelf and a thumb throttle with ext billet throttle is in its place. the twist dont bother me on the dirtbike but on the quad it sucked bad
