Bird Eyes Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 I was getting ready to go into my carbs to lean them out and as I already expected the carbs are out of sync as well. I have already down loaded some material on how to do this, but I don't think it does me any good cause they are aftermarket Keihin carbs. The only adjustment I see is a screw on both carbs that adjust the slides up and down so I assume they are the air mixture screws. Where the throttle cable splits into two cables it appears to be sealed plastic so I see no adjustment there either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
kw04 Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 you can adjust them right where the cable goes into the carb tops if there is a rubber coating just slide it back and then loosen the lock nut and adjust until you think its good. Quote

PassionRE Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 The sync at idle is set with the idle adjusters themselves....after that you can sync the lift rate of the slides with the cables PWK series have seperate adjusters knurled screw type on the sides of the carbs, PJ's are combined with the chokes...make sure the cables have plenty of slack in them before attempting idle sync...Jim Quote
