oliver566 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Hey I see many of you have the ignition advanced on your shee's. From being a sportbike rider for many years I know you only have to buy a simple metal piece and an easy install to advance the ignition on a sportbike. Is it the same for the shee? just buy and install a product and there, my ignition is advanced? if so, where could I get this? if not, what do I do? thanks. Quote
taldoc3 Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 get an adjustable timing plate from ricky stator 35.00 plus shipping oh yea and a flywheel puller Quote
oliver566 Posted August 28, 2005 Author Report Posted August 28, 2005 thanks, I'll look into it! how much of a power difference would be noticable with this mod? Quote
itsaripper Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 Advance the timeing on gas to about 3 or 4. Any more on gas won't get more hp. You should see about two hp. On my banshee it helped from off idle right on up to peak revs. It really is cheep hp, considering what all the other mods cost. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted August 29, 2005 Report Posted August 29, 2005 do a search on modifying your stock timing plate, you can use a dremel and open up the slots on your stock plate and get about +4 on your timing and it is free!!!! Quote
