marleyjoeb Posted August 16, 2005 Report Posted August 16, 2005 (edited) Howdy, i have an 02 with stock motor - trinity stage 4 pipes and silencers, 2-1 k & n, no lid or snorkel on the airbox - i got the carbs keihin pwk 35mm from my brother and he kept the jets for his banshee with a cheetah head (140s) - any idea jet size for those carbs with my setup? i am shooting in the dark and bought 160s and 170s to start with - thanks, jOeb http://www.joebaker.net Edited August 16, 2005 by marleyjoeb Quote
locogato11283 Posted August 17, 2005 Report Posted August 17, 2005 id say about 160 to 165 main and 42 to 48 pilot. if it were me id start at 165 main and 45 pilot... Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted August 20, 2005 Report Posted August 20, 2005 I think 35's might be a little big, even when jetted properly you might have a huge flat spot out of the hole.since you bought 170's & 160's, I would start with the 170's Quote
Guest blew duece Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 id put the stock carbs back on........ or port the living shit out of it to handle the fuel and air of those carbs, even if you do get it to run by choking the carbs off its going to fall on its face, when you jump on it, the stock intake path is going to gag on those carbs Quote
marleyjoeb Posted August 22, 2005 Author Report Posted August 22, 2005 so i ran the 35mm's at the dunes this weekend - SUPER FAST! i started with the 165 main - ended up with 2 k & N air filters, put on 35mm intake manifolds....the trinity pipes work great, sound good too - i may try a one step larger jet this weekend - I will let you all know, but super happy with the set up - just need to make the twist throttle work now - Quote
