i have a stoker kit going into my shee...i need to know if the printed side on the base gasket goes up or down...i would assume the printed side goes up....i could be wrong

The gaskets can only go on one way...The printed side could be up or down

You should be able to read the word "UP" from the topside.

 

Good luck on those Cometic head gaskets, they don't last long in mine.

i have heard bad things about cosmetic gaskets. i know i did not like the ones that came with my warrior piston, get an aftermarket head, then some o-rings..

I've had the same luck with cometic. My head gasket started leaking on me so I went back to stock. You can' beat stock gaskets in my opinion. Good luck!

I run Cometic gaskets, and a stock head gasket. The Cometic head gaskets cannot hold anything over stock compresion. The base gaskets go one way.

just use silicone on everything but the head, get a cool head that uses o-rings. that what i did to my buddy's 03 'shee and no probs so far (got the stroker kit from Alba and did rebuild about 4 mon or so ago)

also, if u go the route we did, get the single carb kit from trinity b/c that stroker kit will SUCK SOME GAS!(and now im going to get shot for even saying ALBA)

when i put my gaskets in there was no print? whats up with that. they were cometic too
