Yaxy Posted August 7, 2005 Report Posted August 7, 2005 Guys, I assembled the bottom half of the RZ a few days ago and torqued all the nuts and bolts to factory specs. This afternoon I decided that I need to split the cases and check one more thing. Can the crank seals be re-assembled or is there some form of squish factor that is no longer present since they were already installed once? The seals have 0 run time on them. Thanks Chris Quote
BdBanshee Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 It should be fine. I usually replace mine while I have it apart, but that's not very often! I know many people that have put them back together without changing them even with months of run time on them. Quote
duecebanshees Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 Since you have not ran it. It should be fine. But, anytime after you have ran it. And you have taken it down that far. For the price of seals (cheap) I would replace them. It just makes good sense to do it since you are already there. Quote
Yaxy Posted August 8, 2005 Author Report Posted August 8, 2005 Thanks guys, i will remove the silicone with some Brake cleaner and proceed. Chris Quote
