switchblade Posted August 8, 2005 Author Report Posted August 8, 2005 Whats a drive lockup? 401883 A lockup is a plate that sits on your clutch pack that has wieght on it. When your motor vrevs the weights are pulled outwards. The weight put preasure on the pack and lock it up so it can't slip. check out there web page www.directdrivecnc.net Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 will it be good for a mx quad? Quote
bigboybanshee Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 will it be good for a mx quad? 407277 Theoretically speaking it would work well for any type of riding. It keeps your clutch from slipping and puts the power to the ground Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 nice. ill have to look into that Quote
blueshee03 Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 sorry to butt in on your post but i would like to say that anyone who installs a lockup on they're clutch should also install a clutch bearing kit to go with it.the bearing kit will help prevent the pushrod, ball and adjuster from melting they're selves together.as anyone knows that has ever had this happen ,it ain't a very nice thing.i installed a lockup and melted them within a few minutes and had to almost get a new shaft for my tranny that the pushrod goes through.the kits range in price from $35 to around $45 depending where you get it.just trying to save anyone from having the problem that me and many more have had.
