If you were running an Airbox before you are probably gonna have to rejet to account for the extra air that will be going into your motor. probably a couple up on your mains and richen your needle a clip position. I would have just gone with the Uni Filters, but hey, whatever! Quote

Kinda like on that movie Tommy Boy where he says he can take a dump in a box, give it to you and tell you its a guaranteed piece of shit. Let us know if you notice a difference. Quote
Bansh88 Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 Best part of the clamp ons is you get to 86 that airbox. Minimizing is always better! $36 is a great price. Quote
race-a-holic Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 (edited) I really like the clamp-on style filters.Buying a set of outerwears is also a good idea. They will help keep junk out of the filters. The stock air box is really restrictive.Ditch that stupid air box. That is of course you don't ride in alot of water and mud. Then keep that stupid air box. biggun6ss Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Just wondering if the clamp on filters will make your intakes crack because of the lost support you have with the box? Quote
RNBRAD Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Just wondering if the clamp on filters will make your intakes crack because of the lost support you have with the box? 399635[/snapback] With the clamp on filters you have one less set of intake boots so less of a chance of sucking in trash. Also with a good intake manifold system you should never have to worry about cracking, air box or not. Quote
bansheeryder_69 Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 Whatever you do don't go through a lot of water/mud with them or you will be phuct Quote
race-a-holic Posted August 1, 2005 Report Posted August 1, 2005 The filters are very light. So you shouldn't have any problem with your intakes. Quote
