sheefreak Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 I recently experienced a ring siezure on the left side(Rings sticking in the ring landings killing compression). I didn't see this as a huge problem as I have ridden this top-end hard in the dunes for a year and a half. But a friend of mine has had this happen twice this year running the same oil in his wifes blaster(oil injection has been eliminated) Other people have ridden it, but she just mainly puts around. He told me he had inquired about the problem wl/a pretty reputable shop and they claim the oil is only good if you are running extremely hard to race applications and that is what is causeing the ring siezures. Does this make sense to anyone else? Has anyone else had problems w/Klotz Supertechniplate? Quote
ledofthezep Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 Never heard anything bad about klotz myself, nor anything similar to what you're seeing/hearing...very interesting. I'll just stick with my 927... Quote

sheefreak Posted July 20, 2005 Author Report Posted July 20, 2005 Does anyone know exactly what causes ring siezures? Oil getting too hot gumming up ring landings? Quote
fixitrod Posted July 20, 2005 Report Posted July 20, 2005 If you have one of the pistons to look at this might help. http://www.mztech.fsnet.co.uk/workshop/wrk_piston.html Quote
