hey guys. i rode a 450R for the first time yesterday and didnt like it all. as soon as i sat on it it felt weird. powerwise i liked it but it felt like it sat to high and short for me. anyone else feel like this too? when i sat on the yfz at the dealer i liked the feel alot more. does it ride the same as the honda? i cant believe the handling on those 450's though its as if there on rails. anyone else dislike the 450R's feel to it?thanks

I own a YFZ and have ridden my friends 450r. Both of these quads handle really good, but the 450r feels a little tippy. If your gonna buy a 4 stroke I would go with the YFZ, its faster and has more power. I would get a banshee tho

They feel like a motorcycle but with four wheels. The days of the ole "couch" seats are over. My buddy with the 450r loves to sit on the shee though. It's like going from a wooden bar stool to a lazy boy. :D

haha, :P no it is not.... :D

stock for stock, i felt my ass was sitting up the highest and my upper body was sitting in down position the worst on a YFZ. I feel I'm sitting a little more upright on the Honda, along with a +2 stem, I feel my 6'2 ass sits nice and upright on the Honda.

How tall are you freestyla... that makes a lot of difference between the two. Slightly smaller people, maybe under 5'10 or so like the YFZ better, taller peeps, over 6', tend to like the Honda. I personally felt cramped on the yfz with my ass in the air, didn't like it at all.

Regardless, every quad needs a little "personalization". Like I had a +1 stem on the banshee for my height, and now I have a +2 stem on the Honda. I'd have put a +1 or +2 stem on the YFZ if I would've gotten one of those.

As far as power on the 450, it desperately needs a silencer can and a cam. That will REALLY wake the 450 up. The YFZ already has an agressive cam, so it's like comparing a stock banshee to a piped banshee. The YFZ is already "setup" for the most part, but the Honda is heavily detuned.

Hey, that's why there's so many right? To each is his own and that's what makes this great, having so many available quads.

Peace out brothas.

im the same height as you sredish. I dont know the r felt way to short for me and i noticed the tippiness alot. really short wheelbase. the yfz felt way better to me and i felt like i had more room. i havent rode the yfz yet but just by the feel of both just sitting on them i like the yfz alot more

yea, i think that image in your sig is a bit ridiculous. while that's a nice yfz, i surely think you can tone it down some, to like 100x100 or something.
