Honda-sucks Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 I am looking to purchase some cub cylinders for my shee and looking at maybe getting the kit that uses the stock crank or possibly a 4mm stroker crank. I ride mostly dunes and fast, open fields and roads. Is their a diff. kit that will better suit my needs and how much of an improvement am I looking at with a stock crank kit and a 4mm stroker with Keihin 35mm PWK's, V-Force Reeds, Rocket Pipes. Also, what gearing should I run? Has anyone ever had RDZ Racing build their engines? Im asking because I live in there area. If I decide to purchase the Cub cylinders (either the stock or 4mm crank) is their any extra parts that Im going to have to buy like a clutch lockout or anything else? Quote
wesw Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 (edited) a stroker crank would be more power, i dont know how much some say 10%. but if your making a good duner bike i would get the crank. way half ass it, you will always want more power if you make a serious hp machine a lock out would be recommended. also think about some shearers on your hot rod also. locogato11283 Posted July 16, 2005 Report Posted July 16, 2005 ive got a 4mm cub setup with v force reeds, 35mm pwk, rockets and it fuckin rips. im guessin right around 90 hp and prolly about 50 ft lbs of torque. this thing has tons of power. i wouldnt recommend it for trail riding but wide open dunes and fields im sure itd perform well..i run 15/41 gearing for my hillclimbs but it will easily pull higher gearing for other applications. badassbanshee479 Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 are the cubs like a full drag ported motor? what I mean is with a drag ported motor you can only run it for a little while then you have to let it cool down. I want something I can drag with and not be afraid to run the crap out of it for an hour or two Quote
