of course a simple job turned into a bitch. banghead the bolts that hold the rear rotor on shoud take a 6mm allen wrench. allen wrench alone wouldn't get it, so i cut one and slipped into a socket to use the ratchet for leverage and it cracked my socket. so i changed sockets, but of course then the allen bolts stripped out. the bolt heads are perfectly smooth and round, and leave very little to get onto with anythin. EXCEPT craftsman's bolt/nut extractors. i bought my dad a set for Christmas, and borrowed them tonight. it locked right onto that round head and turned it right out. i'll be getting myself a set for my box as well now. they work awesome B)

Rotor Bolts. Shit I here that!!!!!

Ive stripped the crap out of the rotor bolts on my banshee and my raptor. But I used an impact driver to bust em' loose. Luckally I had enough of the bolt left to get a little grip.

I know they put the blue lock tight on them from the factory, and yes they are a biotch to get out. I stripped a perfectly good allen wrench trying to get mine off, and I was afraid that I would stip the inside of the allen with my neighbor's tatanium set. So, I did what any red neck hick would do and broke out the vice grips :notworthy: . I'll be damned if they didn't just twist right off after clamping down on the slightly flat outside edge.

I used the same thing on my caliper bolts that hold the brake pads in. I've had the set of extractors for about 3 years and never even opened the case. I used it one time, it worked perfect and paid for itself right there.

:notworthy: Only buy the best, I love Craftsmen :notworthy:

its good to know i am not the only one experiencing trouble with them i gotout the vice grips and they came right out and then cleaned the threads up and went to the hardware store and got new bolts.
