dougersq Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Can anyone give me info on vito's power pistons? Do they hold up in the heat of Dune riding? What do I need to do to my banshee if I use these piston? I'm runing a 1993 T3 Toomeys, open air filter , shaved head, advanced timing and do most of my riding in the Oregon Dunes. any info would be Great. Thanks Doug Q Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 i would never run anything but wiseco pistons, but thats just me. how much hp are they claiming by using those? i think the money would be better spent with some porting. Quote

Tim C Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 I run the the Super Stock Pistons and like them. You will see quite a difference in power but I'm sure they don't compare to a good port job. Quote
sredish Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 Just for FYI, all Vito's pistons are produced by Wiseco, so in essence, the Vito's pistons are Wiseco pistons with specs setup by Vitos. Quote
dougersq Posted June 23, 2005 Author Report Posted June 23, 2005 It's time for a new topend it's a 1993 and this will be the 1st time the pistons will be replaced. last time I checked I was running 145psi in each side. It still runs great but it's time for a new topend. my wife can beat me up the dunes now and thats not cool. Thanks Doug Quote
sredish Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 What's your wife riding? 145 isn't bad at all, I'm at about 148 on a fresh topend and 20cc domes. Quote
Rare Scottish Tree Badger Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 I'm at about 148 on a fresh topend and 20cc domes. 385097[/snapback] That's where I'm at too! ... Same numbers on an MX port job. (660 ft) Sure makes for a great motor. Rare. Quote
dougersq Posted June 23, 2005 Author Report Posted June 23, 2005 My wife rides a 1999 banshee. With FMF Fatty pipes and a K&H filter.I picked it up 2 years ago in the spring for a good price with the idea of putting some time and money into it at the end of the summer but on the 1st day of a 2 week trip to the dunes it droped the left piston skrit down into the crank. So I left it down there to be rebuilt and had them weld the crank and shave the head. As she tells people I have 2 banshees and I let her ride one of them if shes nice. Quote

endofitall9 Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 my buddy ran them in his banshee and said he will never waste the money on vitos pistons again, says that they made his banshee run way hotter, and after a set of prolite everything was perfect. Quote
