i have quite a bit done to my shee and last time i rode it, the powerband just about threw me off the thing. thats great, but the bottom end is terrible. i was in trails going up hills and it was a dog until i got into the top end. please help me with some good bottom end mod advice

nosshead, lightened flywheel. i say to get rid of all the trouble of going through little mods to get you bottom end that you wont get with the toomeys, get another set of pipes.

In my opinion,porting will actually make it more rideable.Just a mild porting,not an all out drag port.It can actually give it more torque.Though it will probably never be as trail-rideable as a 4-stroke,porting can help.

Agreed, MX style porting is your cheapest, most effective way of producing "real" bottom end hit on a 350 crank....and your gains elsewhere in the rpm range are tremendous in the least if done correctly.....Jim

The hit won't change, but if you are trying to ride tight trails or something you could try changing the gearing. It's the cheapest. Then go from there if you want to spend the money to change the way the engine responds.

You can get a nossmachine cool head with domes for around $255. The smaller the dome size the more compression you will have (more bottem end). You might have to run race gas depending on elevation/dome size. decon why not get more mods that will make you faster, cool better, and make the power hit more even and cost alot less than switching pipes.
