Hello, I just bought O'Neil Handle bars. I took the stock bars off and went to put the new ones on the splines dont match up. How do i fix that problem? Please help me figure out what i need to do so i can order the parts that i need as soon as i can. thanks,

none of my bars have splines. just degree indicators for referance points. on my pro taper on the shee or the renthal fat bars on my kx 500. :confused:

I've bought bars that have knurls... Like the others say, what size did you buy? If you got 1 1/8th "fat" bars you'll need an adapter.

what size bars did you buy? I just put a pair of 7/8 Renthals on mine went on no problem. ?

I did buy the 7/8 size. yes they will match up fine, but the grooves in the handle bars that help the handle bars from moving are wider than the width of the stock handle bars. does that even matter?

I see what you are saying now.

Its a straight knurl put in the bar to help the clamp grip it.

Most fat bars will be further apart on those knurls, but I thought every stock size bar would be nearly the same....

 

I think you want the clamps on those knurls to be honest. Even though you'd have alot of surface area to clamp on without the knurls, the knurls will hold a hell of a lot better.
