decon Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 could anyone tell me what is the benefits of having reservoirs on your shocks? Quote
racer Posted June 18, 2005 Report Posted June 18, 2005 reservoirs are like a radiator and add cooling benefits to your shock oil. the rezzies have a floating piston in them that has nitrogen (typically) on one side and the shock oil on the other. as the shocks compress oil is forced into the chambers and displaces the gas. basically they add more oil and a larger surface area to beter dissipate the heat generated by friction. this heat reduction makes the oil keep is viscosity better and makes the shocks work like they should instead of just acting like springs. bansheeryder_69 Posted June 20, 2005 Report Posted June 20, 2005 and they look cooler too.. 383614 Cost more too Quote
lvracer36 Posted June 22, 2005 Report Posted June 22, 2005 Also you can adjust your shocks compression and rebound if you order the shocks with the reservoirs to be like that. Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 and they look cooler too.. 383614 Exactly what I was going to say. Quote
