97banshee350 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 well i was watching the local news and they had a thing on my town cops getting KLR 250's to stop atving and dirtbikeing on private property, now what, where they hell am i going to ride, i ride on the pipe lines and at a couple local pits, one of the pits was mentioned when they intervewed one of the cops. i mean comon the closest legal place to ride is like 45 minutes away and its a track, which isent bad but i know im not traveling 45 minutes everytime i wanna ride. Stroker81 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Why trespass on private property riding. People like you are the reason they are cracking down. Sorry if I sound like a dick but its the truth. Quote
97banshee350 Posted June 15, 2005 Author Report Posted June 15, 2005 yeah i hear what yer sayin, but it just sucks cuz i have a small yard and not enough woods to ride in, just some trails that lead to illegal places. Quote

Sorry if I sound like a dick but its the truth. 382092[/snapback] Why trespass on private property??? are you serious. Where do you ride on your front lawn??? I am assuming you ride at a legal "pay as you go" track that is down the road from your house right? Where do you live pleasantville! Well, not all of us are that lucky to live in a town were that is perfectly set up. Give the guy a break, he has a legitimate complaint that is getting more serious every day. I wish people would think a little more and look at the situation from another locations perspective before posting B.S. replies. Im sure they are cracking down (like in my area) because there are too many cops and not enough for them to do. Quote
slowpokebanshee Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 45 minutes? I should be so lucky....ocotillo wells is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours....everything else is either closed course for dirt-bikes, or private property... Quote
rptorman Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 If you think it's ok to ride on someone elses private property then maybe someone can ride on your front lawn, hell it's private property. I drive about an hour and a half to go riding at a LEGAL place. If you don't like it, there are other ways to go about getting things changed. Careful, if you cry to much you might piss yourself! Ducman Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 There are a lot of creek bottoms in the Northern CA Sacramento Valley that dry up after about June that lots of people used to ride in. Then you get all the enviro Nazi city slickers moving out of the S.F. bay area buying up all the property to retire and they get their panties all in a bunch if there are motorcycles in the creek even though it is unuseable land and no dammage is being done, and it notdisturbing anyones peace and quite. They just take it upon themselfes to put an end to an unofficial riding area that has been beninely used by a small number of locals since dirtbikes were invented. 90% of the riders are just kids that need something recrational to do after school or in the summer. I can understand not riding on someones front yard, or aggricultural investments like orchards and messing up fences, but some people just want to be an asshole just because they can. There are some good legal riding areas close to me but not as fun as the wide open creek areas especially when I can go hit it out of my back yard for 15 min on any given day. Fortuneatly it is rural enough in my area that there are still some places around that have not been assimilated but I'm sure one day it will. I hope that all those people who disagree with these statements have some rich fucker move in next door and build a house so big that is bocks out the sun and you cant afford to move and theres noting you can do about it so then you will know how it feels. BigCP Posted June 16, 2005 Report Posted June 16, 2005 i have always been lucky in the fact that my dad and his brothers have a land and timber company along with a lumber company and have always had plenty of land to ride, hunt, fish etc.. but, you wouldnt believe the amount of people that ride on it and tear it all to hell, run over trees that we planted, fish and hunt without permission. i don't really care about them riding but, at least be thankful for getting to! its gettin to the point now when i go out to ride my shee somewhere i end up picking up a bag of trash everytime i go and that sucks! im good minded to go dump it in some jackass's yard if i knew who it was. i just know that im lucky i have a place to go and want to take care of it when im there. when i put the shoe on the other foot and think about not having any of that land to go and enjoy some fine recreation on i would be worried because i think the closest public riding area is like 2-3 hours away. if more people would ask nicely and put trash in its place and not be so damn destructive more land owners would be more than happy to let people ride all they wanted. just my 2 cents Quote
