alright this could be stupid but I really do not know

so in a post before i said i blew my top end

anyways i need to bore it out and get a different set of domes

now heres my problem

at what bore size do you need to get big bore domes?

or is it as soon as you bore you need to get big bore domes?

I don't know how much it has to get bored out yet so if anyone knows if its 0.02 or 0.08 or whatever

Secondly does anybody know the cc specs on each bore, like i believe 0.02 is 352cc, 0.04 is 358cc, whats the rest? or correct me if those are wrong

Thanks

ok I know I got Big Bore Dome for my CoolHead but these domes R for 69mmBore and Big Bore Sleve.Im running 68.25mm pistons.

u can still use the regular size, till u have 2 resleve the Jug.

You don't need big bore domes until .100 over. And to calculate cc's the formula is bore x bore x stroke x .0007854 x # of cylinders. Your bore and stroke #'s are in mm.

.010" = .25mm / .040" = 1mm / .080 = 2mm

Stock piston size is 64mm so .080" over is 66mm. I don't know for sure but I would think as long as you don't go to a big bore set up you can use a stock size dome. I think you can go to .100" over (2.5mm) before needing to resleeve.

To find the cc volume of the cylinder take "(pie x R squared(piston)) x stroke"

Piston = 6.4cm (64mm) /2 = 3.2cm

3.2cm x 3.2cm = 10.24cm x 3.14(pie) = 32.15cm. This is the cross section surface area of the jug.

32.15 x 5.4cm (54mm stroke) = 173.62 cm cubed for 1 cylinder

173.62 x 2 = 347.2 cm cubed for 2 cylinders with stock bore and stroke. :cheers:

Never seen this formula before. Works pretty slick. Calculation came out .2cm cubed off but this isn't rocket science either. Nice :clap:
