putting my 350 on a diet need to lose some weight

I agree with motor mods first. You've still got tons of HP potential on that engine. Once you've done every engine mod you can then you can look into weight reduction. V-force reeds tend to be popular. Shaving your head or getting a noss head will pull a few more HP. Depending on the porting you may be able to keep your stock carbs - ask your builder. Personally I'd look at porting and reeds first. Next to the pipes this will be the biggest bang for the buck. Porting usually runs $200-$600 and a set of v-force are $200. With just those 2 things your should be able to pull him, and your bike doesn't have to look like its falling apart!

Get porting,head shaved,wiseco pro-lite pistons,and v-force reeds.Even with stock carbs.,he should not be a problem.The porting helped mine alot.Go with shearer pipes and bigger carbs.The YFZ will get smoked big time then.That will be one fast banshee.Before someone gets upset over me suggesting shearer pipes,there are alot of good pipes out there.I just prefer the shearers.

take your front brakes off.

 

get a chromoly swingarm with a honda-style carrier(good for @12-15 lbs on my bike)

 

get a cutting tool and start cutting off any brackets you aren't using. 

 

take off the front bumper

 

take off the grab bar

 

take your lights off
