jjfizzle51 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 hey guys i was just wondering if any of your guys's toomey t-5's are loose not super loose but kinda move a little when you bump them thanks Quote
fast87 Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 same here, i've had stupid kids tell me my bike is junk and my pipes suck because they rattle...so i throw roost and rocks at em but seriousely they are loose naturally, they only mount in 2 places(well 3 if you count the cylinder) so they're bound to move, it's normal..and if i'm in neutral and rev it up then let off the throttle, it revvs down and at a certain RPM the pipes rattle on the frame...no big deadl i'm used to it ~Mark~ Quote
dajogejr Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Sure they move a bit. They're rubber mounted in the front by the hangers, they're held on by springs at the jug. I had to make new steel brackets for mine...but, no worries. As long as they don't leak...you're good to go. Quote
jjfizzle51 Posted May 29, 2005 Author Report Posted May 29, 2005 ok thanks i thought it was normal but i got bored so i thought i'd ask Quote
SANDSTAR Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Sometimes the springs get streched when changing pipes. If it is an annoying rattle, just get a set of new springs. They shouldn't be that expensive. Quote
