bansheefreestyler Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 thumb. with a twist if you hit some rough stuff your first idea is to hold on and then you usually pin it. not good Quote
dalegoldston Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 I have ridden with twist for years. Cross Country, Mx, Dunes. I like mine, but there few of us that do. Its mostly rider choice and comfort. Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 twist is the only way for me, thumb is no good. a good aggresive elbows up, legs pinching the frame stance will elimitnate most of the problems with a twist Quote
loganskinner Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 i had a twist throttle for about 5 months... just couldnt get used to the damn thing. doesnt feel right on a quad to me. Quote
rzcolobanshee Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 You couldn't pry my twist from my cold dead hands, thumbs are for girlie man Quote
grounded Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 This is the first time I've seen the majority response saying twist! As stated before it is rider preferance, but once you get used to it you will not go back. I can't belive how many duners I hear say " my thumb is sore" ... never heard anyone say their wrist is tired. Stick with the twist. Quote
flanders Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 twist, i cant stand thumb throttles. ive used a twist throttle probably 15 of the 18 years ive been riding... Quote
2strokesmoke Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 if you stay up on the tank you wont have any problems but if you start shifting your weight up and back hold on cause it is commin up but twist for me love it Quote
