rebelbanshee2 Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 I may be parting out my bike soon. I know Ill get the most money that way. My biggest question is with the engine. How far should I break it down? Do they sell best as a full engine or as cylenders, crank etc seperate... Its a full blown trick daddy engine...Passion 12 port stroker, cool head, RZ shift forks, drum, cut gears,, lightened flywheel...the works. I basically want to get a big chunk of money quickly and the engine seems to be the best way..but i also want to get the most money I can. How much is an engine like this worth....$2000-2500 reasonable? How much can be made parting something out, the bike has elkas, qucksand stuff, very little stock heres a picture. Ill know in the next couple days if its going or not..so please dont flood me with offers on the parts quite yet Quote

rebelbanshee2 Posted May 19, 2005 Author Report Posted May 19, 2005 yes its a nice bike...but it just cant perforn in the woods and track like i want it to. It was great for recreational shredding, but Ive gotten in a group of really fast expert class riders and am starting to get real competetive in my riding, I can hold them off on the banshee, but I want to smoke them! A pro riders GNCC 250r has landed in my lap and im hoping to jump on it. I rode my brothers 310R today and its rediculous how easy it is to be fast on it. It can keep right up with my stroker in the open and beat it in the tight stuff. I REEAALLLYY hate to part with it, its been my child for the past 3 years, built it from the ground up...but a LSR framed 250r with a national motor for $4500 cannot be said no to right now Quote
NYUK Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 just sell that bike whole.it will bring a nice buck. Quote

Holyman Posted May 19, 2005 Report Posted May 19, 2005 Get a Home Equity Line of Credit and write the guy a certified check. And then you can have 'em both Quote
rebelbanshee2 Posted May 19, 2005 Author Report Posted May 19, 2005 (edited) just sell that bike whole.it will bring a nice buck. 371322[/snapback] like how much? Ive seen some really nice bikes go for not very much, like $5k Im pretty sure I could get more than that in parts. No flocks of 14 year olds wanting test rides and will have money as soon as one of their dads gets out of prison shinanigans either. If someone would hand me $6500 today Id do it Get a Home Equity Line of Credit and write the guy a certified check. And then you can have 'em both That would be nice, but no way can I afford 2 bikes, one is hard enough Edited May 19, 2005 by rebelbanshee2 Quote

There are alot of good reasons to have a HELOC. Quote
