Need advice on new mods

I have 03 with fmf ssts with k&n filter, tors kit, -1 swingarm, 15/41 gearing. I want more power but I don't want to get it ported yet. I'm leaning towards getting my flywheel lightened, timing plate +4 deg, shiftstar mod. Will this give me enough noticable power before I put some money in porting.

Getting your timing advanced and flywheel lightend is probably one of the best mods you could do! Another idea is, if you dont already have your air box removed, your gunna want to have that done. For sure! Be sure to get the k&n pods.

Another idea, if your not in love with your fmf's, think about trying some rockets or cpi's. Or if you dont want just wide open power, you cant miss with shearers or even t-5's.

get some dual stage reeds, if you dont want to spend the coin on the vforce yet. It will increase your throttle response dramatically. Completely change your quad.

My experience is that bolt-ons really didn't help all that much.When I had it ported,the bike really woke up.There is alot of power to be gained in porting.Most bolt-ons will only gain you 1 to 3 hp.Except for pipes.It's pretty easy to gain at least 10 hp with porting.I love my shearer pipes,but to me the T-5 is better than the FMF fatties I had on it before.Just my opinion.
