bigbill Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 my 1996 banshee im trying to change the swing arm bearings but i can't get the bolt out i have been beating on it and using a impact wrench it will spin but won't come out what should i do. my father said we might be able to drill some small holes in the arm and inject some WD oil.have any of you ever done this also has any body ever drilled and tapped a grease fitting into the swing arm for the main bolt. thanks for the help Quote
kenr74 Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 It will come out just keep beating the hell out of it. I usually lift the bike a little to take some weight off of it. Put a 2x4 on the bolt and start pounding on it. Quote

sredish Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 Just get a long thin punch and raise the ass end all the way up so there's no pressure, and just beat the hell out of it. Biggest damn sledgehammer you can find. It'll come out. Quote
