  1. Quick question how do you guys draw up the ball joints an tie rod ends .do you use a impact on the nuts.other wise tapper spin. Also anyone have a pic of proper brake line route thru +2 +1 a-arms. Aftermarket alba kit with clamps .thanks for the help
  2. Ok I ordered up the alba long travel a arms should be here next week . Still gotta get shocks I will throw on stock until I can swing shocks . Thanks for the help
  3. I will check them out . Those lt alba a arms are the mouts for stock shock any good or are they a bad set up. I don't want a bunch of clanging going on while I'm riding . Is the gull wing worth it or just go with the standard +2+1 for less ?

  7. Should I put a little oil in cylinder an move it up an down . For rings ? . I bought the quad about 11 years ago got married an had two boys but would not let my banshee go my oldest now 5 asked are ever going ride those I laughed . I think it's time to get it out lol
  8. Hi any opinion on what I should do before firing up my banshee after sitting 5 years not running . I have pushed over kicker a few times. Really I'm wondering about motor internal parts motor was a fresh total rebuild every bearing seal crank pistons . Thanks for the help first post on here

  11. has any one hear of linning up the numbers on the primary gear to the clutch gear? also does the nut on the primary gear have a standard thread.right tight left loose also when i install my clutch i was told that the plates that go in between the fibers have a sharp edge on one side and i am to put them all in thr same way. witch way is right facing into motor or out towards case cover. i am having a problem with the bike going forward when i go to take off for the first time after i drive it a while it stops also i adjusted the screw in the center of the hub but im not sure if i did it right. do i push the lever on the top of the case towards the clutch side of the bike. ounce it is set right should i only be able to push as far as the arrows line up then the lever will pull from there??? I NEED HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  14. i need help with my jetting here is what i have 1996 banshee fresh rebuild complete motor i am on the 2nd tank of gas. i use klotz oil at 50:1 /94 oct. i have k&n air filtir air box lid on i have v-force reeds fmf pipe old style kind of thin all black i believe they are high rev also fmf tail pipe power core. my main jet is 270 needle clip on number 4 one from top /piolet jet is 27.5 . i am having trouble with taking off from a stand still i have to pump the throttle to keep it from quiting and just befor i hit the power band i have to do the same thing to get it to kick in.once i do that bike feels good.the bike will also idle but sounds alittle low im not sure if i should bump up the slides.any tricks on how to make sure slides hieght is balanced any certian measurement to use like a dowl pin .i live in buffalo,ny im not sure of the elevation thanks for the help!

  18. well one im not a english major!I have not even put the cases together yet.i just set the transmission in the bottom side of the cases . i have not put the crank in yet all i did was lube the bearings befor i set them in place for the transmission.ill try to do better next time with spelling.also im not talking about the yamabond im talking about the seal surface on the cases for the seals for the transmission and crank.
  19. what is gl-4 or gl-5.also you say i should not use any oil on the seal surfaces on the case halfs why what will happen if i do .i did not use anything like a 10w 30 i used actual 2 stroke pre-mix oil klots will that work just as good.
  20. i am in the begining stages of my rebuild.this is my first ever building a motor i have a yamaha manual i am using for this build.i can get a cylmer i need be?? all brand new trany bearings lubed with engine oil klots 2-stoke.it calls out for engine oil for bearing lube not gear oil is this o.k. thats what i did.i bought yamabond case sealer what is the proper whay to use this case sealer? also for lightweight lithium grease for seals does sil-glyde sound good it is found at (napa).what is the correct way to put the grease on(just on the back of the seal)or do i put it on the seal and lube the bearing?also do i still use engine oil on the outside of the seals or grease?should i also lube the complete crank with klots oil rods,bearingsinside the case just about everything in the motor. somebody help me please i have alot of money into this now that i really dont have i have one shot at getting this right!!!!.i bought the quad in march rode two hours and have not rod cents i was not going to rebuild the motor but i rode a banshee last weekened and it remind me why i bought a banshee in the begining its the greats quad i have ever rode thanks bill
  21. 96 banshee needs a crank it was not blown up but pulled to install a long rod kit but do to time and money. i will not be able to finish the the motor i am looking to trade for a racing 3 wheeler 250r,tri-z,tecate.or 1500$ firm.lots of new bearing and bushing and tires all the way around fmf pipes and silencers.plastics great shape.pro tapper bars aftermarket grab bar ,front bumper,handel bar clamp,e-brake block off.ceet graphics on plastics i have pics if you need them thanks. you can e-mail me at Delbun@verizon.net

O.K I BOUGHT A 1996 BANSHEE IN APRIL I WENT THRU THE HOLE BIKE AND CHANGED EVERY BEARING,CHAIN, SPROCKET ,PAINTED EVERYTHING BUT THE FRAME ONLY BECAUSE I WANTED TO DO THAT OVER THE WINTER.SO I FINIAL GET IT TOGETHER AND ME AND A FRIEND GO TO PA THERE IS A ATV PARK THERE SO ANY WAY WE GO RIDING EVERYTHING IS GOOD FOR ABOUT 2HRS THEN I COMMING DOWN A HILL AND SOMETHING LETS GO. SO I GET IT HOME WE PULL THE MOTOR OUT I FIND THAT THE CLUTCH BASKET HAS A TONE OF PLAY ALSO HAS A BENT TOOTH ON THE GEAR OF THE BASKET.THEN I FIND A METAL CHIP ABOUT 1/4 WIDE BY 1" LONG FOLDED OVER AND ITS THE SHAPE OF A GEAR TOOTH I HAVE NO IDEA WERE IT CAME FROM.THIS MUST HAVE CAUSED THE MESSED UP BASKET.THEN WE CRACK THE CASE OPEN TO CHECK THE LOWER END AND THE BEARINGS ARE I NEED OF CHANGE TRANS,AND CRANK .SO NOW IM TO THE POINT WERE DO I REPAIR WHAT I HAVE THE HOLE MOTOR TOP TO BOTTOM OR DO SOMETHING LIKE A RZ350 ENGINE SWAP OR EVEN A CR500 SWAP I DO HAVE A LEAD ON A KX500 1990 ENGINE I NEED SOME ADVICE FROM YOU GUYS THIS IS MY FIRST BANSHEE AND I GETTING DISAPPOINTED ALREADY IM TO THE POINT I EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT SELLING IT I NEED SOME MOTOVATION SOON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
