05Special Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 ive been trying to get the clutch plates on and there is little rubber seal that sit on the inside of each plate. Eveytime i try to put the plates on the seals or rubbers fall off. Any tricks to getting them on?thanks guys Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 I'm a little confused on how you're trying to put them on. If you're not, put everything on one at a time. The cushions should fit over the clutch boss fairly easy, but it should be a snug fit. Then slide the cushion all the way back and so on.... Sorry if this doesn't help at all. Quote
05Special Posted April 24, 2005 Author Report Posted April 24, 2005 yea, there are little rubber rings that sit around the hub, do they sit inside of each clutch plate or between? Quote
Oilsmoke Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Why are you into a 05 clutch already? Quote
holeshotkid Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 Just leave them out. You don't need them. Quote
05Special Posted April 24, 2005 Author Report Posted April 24, 2005 i wouldn't be if it didn't slip real bad, thats what all my friends said too. they don't ride it everyday so they wouldn't notice a difference, i tried adjusting it every way i could but gained nothing. this is why i am changing it. Plus all the mods that have been put into the bike, i need a way to put it to the ground, and with a slipping clutch its not happening Quote
05Special Posted April 24, 2005 Author Report Posted April 24, 2005 hey holeshot, seriosuly or are you busting my balls? my father said the sme thing Quote
Oilsmoke Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 (edited) Rubber are for Noise reduction and are not needed. If your clutch is slipping order 3 Tommey clutch spring and It won't slip. http://www.toomey.com/html/engine_parts1.htm Edited April 24, 2005 by Oilsmoke Quote

FIRST BANSHEE Posted April 25, 2005 Report Posted April 25, 2005 hey holeshot, seriosuly or are you busting my balls? my father said the sme thing 359326[/snapback] you really don't need them. the banshee engine was base on a rd 350 street bike design, there design is for a smoother engagement of the clutch.
