05Special Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 i havre all the mods in my sig in my bike, with the stock clutch, after putting pro lites after the rebuild the clutch slipped in 3rg gear to 6th, . Could it be because the stock clutch can't handle the power? either way I just ordered a dirt digger to hopefully help me out, any info will help, thanks guys Quote

An improperly adjusted clutch will slip also. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 when you install the new clutch, make sure you adjust the clutch rod before you put the side cover back on. Quote
BdBanshee Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 More power is usually what makes the clutch slip. You can try just the stiffer springs first, or if you already ordered the whole clutch just do it all. Pretty simple job. Quote

MILO Posted April 24, 2005 Report Posted April 24, 2005 yeah man, the dirt digger clutch and hd springs should do the trick. if your running the stock basket and such, look closely for stress cracks on everything and the basket fingers to be grooved out from the plates. it's a wonder my hub and p-plate were still together for all the little cracks that were in them.
